Barb, also known to many as Basia, is a licensed massage therapist who graduated from Elgin Community College in 2012.
She has worked as a massage therapist since then at a spa where her abilities had promoted her to the highest requested and lead massage therapist for three years in a row. She has shown a huge interest in anatomy, physiology, and pathology which is why she is considering one day going back to school to further her education and perhaps even becoming a chiropractor.
Her favorite part of massage therapy is the potential to help people with a healing touch, she believes that her abilities shine the most when massaging the neck area.
The biggest influence in the reason why Barb choose massage therapy was because of her mother and their shared interest in holistic medicine. Her family migrated from Tarnow, Poland to Chicago almost 30 years ago and still have many family members and friends all around Europe. Barb has a very strong Polish background and is bilingual.
When Barb has free time you can find her with her family, spending time with her best friend, and enjoys being outside when it’s not snowing. She enjoys hiking, cooking, swimming, bowling, and has a wide variety of other interests.
